Salisbury Jaycees Christmas Parade
We are entering both DVB and Trashforce into the Christmas parade this year! If you would like to participate and bring your family, we will have both the Deuce and the Trashforce truck rolling down the road.
People are welcome to dress up in either DVB hard hats, festive Christmas gear or you’re welcome to wear your military uniform if you served- but no one is allowed to dress like Santa or Mrs. Claus (30 day jail sentence if in violation j/k) because they save Santa as the big reveal for the last float. Parade attendees can either ride and wave from the deuce, or feel free to walk and wave or help carry a DVB banner.
We will gather in the DVB parking lot start at 11:30 am, get organized and then walk over to line up at the City of Salisbury Parking Lot at 11.45pm. E market St will be closed off coming from rt. 13 but the DVB parking lot should be able to be accessed if you’re coming from the Library direction. Parade starts rolling at 1pm and goes until 3, but make sure you’re there at 11:30 to organize.
Let us know if you’re going to make it and how many are in your party. We will hopefully play Christmas music from the trucks and decorate them with wreaths etc. see more parade information below.
Info from the City of Salisbury: The parade will run along E Main and W Main Street. There will be closures along the route (Main Street), as well as Baptist Street, E Market Street, and N Division Street approximately 2 hours prior to the start of the event and no street parking will be allowed at that time. Lot 10 (along Rt 13, labeled staging lot), Lot 30 (labeled as de-staging lot on map) will close at 7 AM to parking.
