Delmarva Veteran Builders add two more employees to the team
SALISBURY, Md. – May 29th, 2020 – Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB), the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced the addition of Olesya Taylor and Katie Brittingham to the team.
“We have been strategically working to build our team,” said Chris Eccleston, Delmarva Veteran Builders. “despite all of the setbacks with the pandemic, we were able keep moving forward and hire some of the best in their respective industries.”
Olesya Taylor started on May 1st as DVB’s new comptroller, working to ensure all project costs are on target and controlled by project managers, as well as, accurate financial reporting and compliance. Olesya is a native of Russia but moved to the United States in 2002. She majored in accounting at Salisbury University and became a CPA, licensed in Maryland. Her experience spans ten years in public accounting, practicing predominately in the fields of business, corporate and individual taxation, and planning.
Although new to the construction industry, she is eager to make her mark . “I truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of such a talented group of hard-working people”, says Olesya. “I also appreciate DVB’s strong community connection.” Olesya and her husband live in Delmar with their two children. In her spare time, she loves fishing, boating and running short races. She is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and treasurer of the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club.
Katie Brittingham began on May 19th as DVB’s new marketing and development specialist. Katie is a native of Catonsville, Maryland and received her B.S. in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Towson University. After college, she relocated to the Eastern Shore where her husband grew up. Since then, she has worked in both property management as a regional marketing associate and the travel industry as a regional marketing manager.
“I am very excited to be a part of the DVB family,” Katie says. “I was drawn to DVB by its supportive, fun and friendly company culture.” Katie lives in Laurel, Delaware with her husband and two young children and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
